The Imago approach

The goal of Imago therapy is to give you concrete tools through face-to-face dialogue to create a safe climate in your relationship. You learn to work in true loving partnership: to calm your reactivity, to be curious, to share from your vulnerability, to listen with presence.

These dialogues allow you to understand what you have brought from your respective pasts that you are now reproducing and that creates pain in the relationship. They offer you ways to transform conflict into growth potential.

The Imago approach offers you a framework and tools to exchange, understand, be creative and constructive. You work together to care for the in-between space in which your relationship evolves and your children grow.

Whether you consult to improve your communication or to separate as best you can, you will have ways to do this consciously as you grow.

Imago therapy was developed by Harville Hendrix and Helen Hunt in the 1980s in the United States.

Antoinette has been instrumental in the international spread of Imago. On several occasions she has received recognition from Harville and Helen for her commitment to the Imago Faculty and for her role as a community builder.
